Privacy

homeops is made by NiuRoot LLC. This page says what the app collects, where it goes and how to have it removed.

What the app collects

Your utility usage readings (electricity, gas, water, solar), your bills' dates and amounts, the weather for your area, and the answers you give in the app. They are used to compute the figures the app shows you, and for nothing else. Your utility logins stay on your phone and are never sent to us.

Who sees it

The data is stored on a server operated by NiuRoot LLC, hosted by Hetzner. Weather is fetched from Open-Meteo using a rounded location. These providers handle the data only to run the service. It is not sold or shared with anyone else.

Keeping and deleting it

Data is kept while your household uses the app. To delete it, remove the household in the app and write to hank@niuroot.com; it is removed from the server within 30 days.
